Problem

I joined Routific, an early-stage software startup, back in 2018 as their head of marketing. Their main revenue channel was search, and I was tasked to grow this. The website had a low conversion rate and the blog was hosted Medium (not the main website), but some decent traffic from earlier link building efforts.

Results

After a through audit, the plan was to fix minor technical issues and migrated the blog from Medium over to the main site. Then I focused on scaling our blog content. We identified high potential (but long tail) keywords and then worked with the team to write the content for this. We successfully grew organic traffic by 20X and helped grow revenue from six figures to multi-millions.

As for link building, we focused on creating quality content in order to attract links. This strategy successfully generated ~25-100+ links per month. We also would do targeted link building outreach for high value links.
